Expectations

This is a brief overview of what to expect.

If you log into GameOfficials.net and select the switch option, you will be able to see this information.

A great place to start is the area that says New to GFA Start HERE. This information is also located on RefereeInTennessee.com.

There is a lot of information so please review it as it will answer many questions / concerns.

I use Tournament Commitment games as an agreement that you will be used in the event for that day. I do these in advance and use them to communicate information to the officials during the assigning process. If your schedule does not allow you to plan do not accept the Tournament Commitment games. You will be eligible for matches once I have the schedule and have available matches.

Referees are expected to accept / decline their games asap. Games will auto decline after 3 days. 

When declined I look for others that can assist. Don’t miss out.

Please keep your availability current. This is information I use to assign.

Look for emails and follow all instructions sent out.

Please review the hotel policy on the website. If you will need a hotel review the availability instructions to see how to enter a note to request a hotel. This needs to be done at least 10 days prior to the event. Minors that have a parent traveling with them can stay in the same bed. If available, they can pay a fee of $100 for a room on their own. 

I will send out assignments as soon as I have them completed. Please be patient this is typically out the week of the event. Hotels are soon after that.

• There is a tournament meeting via Zoom the week of the event.
• On game day – Be on Point! – Be on time and prepared. I do a lot to prepare for your arrival please do your part and be on time and be prepared.
• Have your full uniform in order per USSF guidelines. No exceptions.
• Arrive at least one hour prior to your first match. Plan on traffic.
• Take your phone to the field you can use a Ziplock bag to protect it. You need this to get scores to the tournament immediately after the game.

Payments are made using GO PAY 

• Make sure you enter your SSN under your name in MY INFO then complete the GO PAY information for an electronic 1099. 
• Every effort is made to have payments completed within 10 days. Most cases payments are done 5-7 days of the event.
